A Conversation With South Shore Dry Dock

While exhibiting at the 2024 New England Boat Show, we had the opportunity to chat with many of our partners.  Buck Berry, owner of South Shore Dry Docks spoke to us about his business and what he values the most about Sensar Marine’s Boat Monitor.

Buck works in boat sales, ranging from small boats all the way up to large yachts. Throughout the years working in the industry, we asked him what are some things he’s seen go wrong with a boat. He responded, “We also run a marina, and boats will sit there. Owners sometimes don’t show up for weeks to look at their boats. We deal with dead batteries, with bilge pumps not working, and boats taking on water. So we end up taking care of the boats for the owners.”

Buck agreed that having The Boat Monitor installed is a “win-win situation” for both him and the customers.

Buck shared that every customer that has one installed has loved it so far and it is “easy to install”.

Finally, we asked Buck what his favorite feature of The Boat Monitor was, “I think the battery voltage and I like being able to track the boat. We install it on our personal boat and I can see where the boat goes, what day it went, and where it's been, and that it’s back in its slip again.”

We extend our gratitude to Buck and South Shore Dry Docks for talking with us and for their support!
